Final results
I've finished the challenge, it was a little longer than I expected, I had exam and job was taking a lot of my time. My final results are 2891 people in Sunderland and 30179 overall. They are ok results, I was expecting more... I think I'll give it a second try.

New try
After my last bankrupt, I've started a new game. This time my main objective was to keep my maintenance costs low.
1. I've used to dirt road instead of the gravel one.
2. No train, they are too expensive for the passenger's volume.
3. Just two small bridges and no link between the eastern part and the northern part.
So far it's going well.

One year and bankrupt close
My first year is completed and it looks like I'll have to start again. My maintenance costs are way too high. There are no road between the cities so connecting cities is really expensive. Next try I'll focus on the western part to make a lot of money and then I'll go for the east. Still I'll try to save my first attempt.

Day 2
I've started playing the sea challenger... and so far I have to say it's a challenge. The eastern part of the map is really hard to connect to the western part. The western part is easily to devellop and will surely get very big. I've connected my cities this way:
1. Train connection between Lancaster and Lincoln.
2. Bus between Lincoln and southampton.
3. Bus between Cardif and Lancaster; and between Nottingham and Lancaster.
This way I hope to have a lot of passenger to make a lot of money with my train line between Lancaster and lincoln
4. Bus between Salisbury and Chester
5. Bus between Sunderland and Winchester.
At first I wanted to connect the west with the east and north with a nice ship line. It turned out that the smallest boat available is for 1000 passenger and cost 14$ to move... The cities are way too small to substain such a boat...
So I've built a train connection between Wesminster and Chester.
When I have enough passenger and money again I'll go for the boat between Chester and Lincoln.

February Challenge
This is the first challenge of this new blog. With this blog I want to post one challenge every month or every two months depending on how people will participate. I'll play the challenges and post about my progression regularly and I'll put a tab with the progression of other participants.
For this first challenge, I've created a sea map with 10 small cities. There will be two goals for this games:
1. Have the highest population by the end of 1955.
2. Have the highest population in the city of Sunderland.
The city of Sunderland is small and isolated. It'll be costly to make it grow. I'm curious about which strategies other people will use. I haven't decided about mine yet.
There will be a simple rules to follow
- Use only your own compagny, no public building, etc.
I use pak 128 with simutrans 102.0
